Glencoe ou vallée des larmes est situé près de Fort William (ville où il pleut 300 jours par an) au pied du Ben Nevis (plus haut sommet d'Ecosse, culminant à 1344 m).
C'est exactement les décors de "Braveheart". Cette région est tout simplement magnifique, il y a une odeur de mysticisme qui s'en dégage.
Seul point néfaste: les MIDGES sont des "simulies" de nos moustiques mais en taille réduite qui volent en formation serré (par nuages) sur leurs proies. Un proverbe de l'île de Raasay: "un midge tué, cent qui viennent aux funérailles"... Leurs piqûres démangent furieusement me rendant parano car ces bêtes rentrent par tous les orifices... (juste en respirant on en avale, ce qui est fortement désagréable).
Sinon c'est vraiment une très belle région qu'il faut absolument faire.
